Real Name Christian Mildbrandt, artist name Schoko Casana Rosso (* 10 January 1960 in Berlin; † 26 September 2014 in Berlin), was a German graphic artist and illustrator.
In his youth, Milbrandt worked in various fields, such as as a Jiu-Jitsu trainer (4th Dan holder) and as a salsa dancer. He began working as an illustrator and visual artist in 1979 after graduating from high school. From 1980 onwards, he organized solo exhibitions and took part in exhibitions. In 1982 and 1983, he was co-editor of the graphic magazine 25. From 1984, he worked as an illustrator for the Rolf A. Burkart publishing house. From 1993, he worked for the publisher’s artist magazine artischocke.
In 1994 he began producing his own artist books. He published artist books with Corvinus Presse, for example together with Peter Wawerzinek and Heinrich Ost. He was also active in the field of mail art.
He remained a trainer in the First Berlin Judo Club 1922 eV ( EBJC ) until his death. His grave is in Schöneiche near Berlin (Friedhof Friedensaue).
His estate is located in the Berlin State Library – Prussian Cultural Heritage.
