
Giuseppe Riccetti was born in Cortona (AR) in 1936. Passed through various expressive experiences and methods (the cathedrals of the 1950s, the labyrinths of the sixties, the optical geometries of the seventies) elaborates the current solutions for about twenty years expressing themselves in two Different ways: a figurative, on the theme of the female Centauromachia, the other inspired by images developed by an imaginary computer interpreted pictorially.
He has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Italy (youth meetings in themes, third exhibition Naz.le d ‘Youth Art – Rome, Spoleto Prize, San Fedele Prize, Marche Award, themes Award, Avezzano Prize, Termoli Prize, Michetti Prize, and others) and abroad: in New York in 1962, in Brussels in 1968, in Gent (BE) in 1969, in Munich in 1973, in Townsville (Australia) in 1989, in Kyoto (Japan) in 1991, a Kranj in Slovenia in 2000, in Shibukawa (Japan) and Mainz (Germany) in 2004.
He held over forty personal: themes, Rome, Bologna, Bergamo, Trieste, Chiavari, Milan, Macerata, Perugia, Cortona, T_di, Gubbio, Norcia ; The latest of which “artists”? In Palazzo Trinci and “D’Aperès Mantegna” in the Oratory of Nunziatella in Foligno. The “Crucifixion” work, with which he participated in the exhibition “II Sacro in art on the threshold of 2000”, in Foligno in 1990, and at the Museum of the Art and Spirituality Association (Center for Modern Art Studies) in Brescia.
