Rolando Zucchini born in Foligno (PG) June 6, 1947. In 1972 he graduated in Mathematics at the University Perugia with a thesis on Non- Euclidean geometries.

He began to paint as self-taught at the end of the 1970 using strange techniques on any media type. His first solo exhibition held 1980 at the Galleria Il Pozzo Città di Castello (PG), After the solo show at Cicconi Gallery (Macerata) and the Centre d’Art L’IDIOMA (Ascoli Piceno) he join in the group Archaic Abstraction theorized by Giorgio Cortenova. In 1988 he was invited by Giorgio Cortenova and Filiberto Menna at the great exhibition ABSTRACT that gathers the most important abstract artists from the Italian post-warrn (1946) until 1990. The exhibition is staged at the Palazzo Forti Verona, Palazzo della Permanente Milan, Darmstadt Kunsthall (Germany).

Follow years of intense work and personal / collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2014 he was invited to Reconnaissance in Umbria at the CIAC Foligno. In the 2018 one of his Art work was exhibited at CIAC in the Permanent Contemporary Collection of CARIFOL Foundation. He is present in history of Italian Art of the 20th Century by Prof. Giorgio Di Genova. He has published a lot of short mathematical essays.
